Data Exploration: Representation in the House of Commons

This assignment explores how Canadians are represented in our democratically elected House of Commons. It asks you to consider different forms of representation in the House and compare the Canadian House of Commons to other legislatures around the world. The first goal of this assignment is to learn about the effectiveness of our system in producing representative political institutions. The second goal of the assignment is to gain experience using a dataset to assess patterns in legislative representation.
